Yoga Nidra Immersion

A yogic immersion into Yoga Nidra & Basic Breathing Methods focused on relaxation techniques. Explore tools to systematically address the tensions in the body, mind and emotions to induce a deep state of relaxation.

Yoga Nidra and Basic Breathing Methods are key practices to equip yoga aspirants with yogic skills and techniques for self support. These methods will assist in the release of deep muscular, mental and emotional tension, inducing calmness and clarity for a range of life and health situations.

In this immersion you will experience and learn about the practices of Yoga Nidra and Basic Breathing Methods. We will also practice some restorative yoga. The immersion includes:

  • Yoga practices for your own health

  • Breath and the link with relaxation theory

  • Yoga lifestyle

  • SWAN practice (a yogic practis of self inquiry)

  • Restorative Hatha Yoga, breathing practices, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Mantra Meditation

  • Understanding the techniques of Yoga Nidra from a practical and theoretical point of view

  • Option for deep theory sessions including the science behind the techniques

You can practice relaxation outside, in the car, in bed, in the waiting room and of course; on a yoga mat. In this immersion we will look in to how to apply the teaching in your daily life.

Lille Lotus Yoga

The location will be in Eidsvoll Sentrum at Lille Lotus Yoga. It is 10 minutes walk from Eidsvoll train station, along the river and across the bridge. The yoga room is fully equipped with thick futon yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, eye pillows to create the support needed for deep relaxation.

12.30 - 15.00 Practice & Theory (20 minute tea break sometime in this session)

A vegetarian lunch every day is included in the course fee. We also see this as a part of the immersion as it gives us the chance to talk more freely about the topic.

Accomodation

There are no hotels close by, so we suggest finding accomodation through Airbnb or something close to a train station. From Eidsvoll train station to the yoga school it is a 10 minute walk along the river. It is only a 30 minute train ride from Oslo to Eidsvoll, or even shorter if you stay in Lillestrøm or Gardermoen.

Teachers:

Karma Karuna

Main teacher for the immersion is Swami Karma Karuna Saraswati. She is an engaging, intuitive yoga and meditation teacher, inspirational speaker, writer and IAYT certified Yoga Therapist with more than 25 years of experience.
Swami Karma Karuna is a co-founder and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, New Zealand, a Residential yoga retreat offering and integral yogic lifestyle.

She also travels throughout the world leading workshops, training yoga teachers, presenting at international events, guiding spiritual sadhana retreats and offering one to one yoga and lifestyle sessions.

Silje Sridharana Indreeide

Silje runs Anahata Yoga in Norway and is the assistant teacher for the immersion. Since her teens she has been passionate about how to become more happy and how to find inner peace. Yoga and meditation met these needs and she has been practicing since she first went to India as a 20-year old. She has studied 1 year at Yogalærerskolen i Norge, 6 years apprenticeship with Yggdrasil Yogaskole and has her teacher training from Rikhia Ashram, India. Silje studied medicine for 1 1/2 years and she has 18 years experience teaching yoga, the last 12 full time.
